Chef Susie's Garden

My name is Susie. I am a Gardener & Chef.

I grow plants from seeds or cuttings from my Garden, with a focus on food plants, and plants that support those by either attracting pollinators or repelling pests. 

The plants you'll find here will be Food Forest Perennials, Seasonal Specialties, Heirloom Favorites, and Tropical Exotics with culinary value. 

All my plants are grown using only OMRI cert soils & amendments and are 100% NO SPRAY!

Although the Garden is not certified organic, only organic farming practices are followed.

My growing methods are simple. I use only OMRI-certified bagged potting soil and amendments, so all the seeds that I sow are started in this sterile organic soil mix. 

Currently, there are no LFA on my property (knock on wood!), but even so, I never use soil from the property for sowing. 

These pots are kept indoors until they sprout, and once they've sprouted they're moved to a netted 'nursery' until they're taken to Market. 

They are clean, well-rooted, healthy seedlings, always grown in fresh new bagged/OMRI certified Seed starter and/or Potting mix, Coconut coir, Perlite, Vermiculite and Worm castings.
