Island Aquaponics and Tilapia Hatchery is a sustainable family farm in Puna, Hawaii operated by Adrian and Ori Barnes. The farm is aimed at low environmental footprint production of fish and vegetables with zero use of pesticides and minimal inorganic fertilizer. We integrate the nexus of water, energy, climate and food production so as to produce nutritious fish and vegetables while maintaining the health of the ?aina .

Our production is pesticide free and this may result in our produce not being bug free so we stipulate that produce is either carefully washed or cooked prior to consumption. We maintain strict food safety procedures and biosecurity on the farm.
All of our produce is sold on a harvest on an order only basis.
