About Us
Any Kine Wontons was started in May 2015 down at our beloved Uncle Roberts famous Night Market & Ho‘olaule‘a in Kalapana, Hawaiian Kingdom.
The Filipino side of my family is around 200 people. My grandmother alone had 9 children and being the oldest grandchild, I got to spend time in the kitchen. Holidays and birthdays meant making wrappers folding and rolling wontons and lumpia. Family production at its finest. I also used to teach some of my parole and at risk youth how to make wontons for their family because food brings people together.
Following 5yrs of encouragement from friends and colleagues. I was so scared to leave a secure employment source.
Any Kine Wontons became registered trademarked ®? in 2016. By 2017, the business had 3 Wonton Wagons that traveled Big Island wide. Our years of multiple farmers markets, yearly Hoolauleas, Special Events and Community fundraisers helped us make a pivot during the Covid Pandemic. We downsized to 1 Wonton Wagon and became licensed to wholesale. The Locavore Store being our 1st Hilo frozen retailer. From there, our list of frozen retailers spread to several other small locally owned convenience stores. Our Kona frozen retailer, Sandy's Drive-In, a 60 yr old family run local plate lunch shop, offers them cooked as well. Antics Pizza & Ramen in Hilo offers our vegan wontons in their vegan ramen. Hawai?i Farm-to-Car is our East Hawaii online retailer.
We currently appear at select Big Island Festivals, Special Events and Community Fundraisers.
